We have contract designed a broad range of medical devices and instruments ranging from clinical chemistry and immunoassay instruments to minimally invasive biopsy systems and PCR diagnostic analyzers.
We currently are seeking Electrical Engineering Co-Ops to join our rapidly growing team.
The successful applicant will work within the Electrical engineering department assisting in the design and development of systems and be part of a focused team creating and supporting new medical products.
Job Description We are seeking a talented student in their junior or senior year of college to work as a COOP for our medical devices engineering group - but we are looking for more than an impressive skill set.

Under the direct supervision and mentorship of members of the Electrical Engineering Staff, the Electrical Engineering Co-Op undertakes a variety of on-going activities and assigned projects at varying levels of professional complexity requiring knowledge within an area of specialty and/or engineering college major.
The Electrical Engineering Co-Op works as a member of the Electrical Engineering team in support of contracted tasks including design, modeling, analysis, fabrication, and test activities.
The Electrical Engineering Co-Op will interact directly with multidiscipline professionals in the planning and implementation of assigned projects.
The Electrical Engineering Co-Op is a developmental position and is restricted to college students whose major and personal interests are aligned with the role of the engineering organization and hiring department.
It is a goal of the Co-Op Program to expose the student to the technical business environment to better prepare the student to make informed continued education and career decisions.
Participate in technical projects and programs designed to develop personal and professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the Engineering Department.
Perform various duties related to the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department based on area of specialty.
Examples of typical assignments include:
System and subsystem analysis and requirements specification.
System and subsystem modeling and performance analysis.
Design of electrical, mechanical, and/or optical components to engineering specifications Fabrication and debug of prototype electrical, mechanical, and/or optical hardware.
Test and measurement using standard test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, temperature probes, and vibration probes.
Component investigations with suppliers and subcontractors.
Organization and correlation of test data in electronic format utilizing spreadsheets, word processing and database software.
Creation of technical documentation.
Software programming.
Interact directly with colleagues and other internal or external resources in the planning of assignments and completion of projects.
Conduct research and prepare reports based on findings, to include recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
Along with other Co-Ops in the Company, participate in a presentation for the Executive Staff designed to summarize the Co-Op experience and describe at least one completed project.
Qualifications Must be a current student enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or similar) degree program.
(Preferably junior or senior year student).
Must be available to work full-time hours for the fall/winter semester.
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to understand and follow complex, detailed instructions, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to approach technical problems in a logical and scientific manner.
Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, and be able to work for short to moderate periods of time without direct supervision.
Requires technical writing and documentation skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
