hours 403(b) retirement savings plan with employer contribution after 1 year Sign on bonus Responsibilities/Duties This full time DSP role is to provide support to a 30 year old man with autism who lives in Merrimack.
He enjoys music, going to movies, eating at restaurants, and hiking on trails.
His DSP will help him to engage in activities at home and in the community.
He responds best to male caregivers.
He requires support in the following areas:
Assisting with a well-ordered daily schedule Supporting communication skills Reducing anxiety and ritualistic behavior Going into the community for daily activities Assisting with personal care Working together with his support team (parents, behaviorist, home care provider, and service coordinator) Skills Required/
Qualifications:
Experience with autism is required Patient, easy-going manner is essential for success in this role Familiarity with behavior plans and willingness to consistently adhere to program Ability to provide a low stress environment and follow established routine Reliable transportation Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of vehicle liability insurance Pre-employment background checks will be completed by Gateways (motor vehicle records, BEAS, OIG and criminal background) Gateways Mission Statement We believe that all people are of great value.
