Job Description:
Senior Database Cloud Engineer The Role Cloud and Platform Engineering (CAPE) is looking for a database/automation engineer to work in the Database Virtualization and masking squad.
In this role, you will be applying your strong database Engineering skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve enterprise platforms.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring A Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field.
Strong Exposure to Database Administration in any RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase etc) is a must.
At least 8 years of experience working in a large database environment, on-Prem and Cloud Strong hands-on experience in relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, RDS, Amazon Aurora, SQL Server are desirable) Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Stash, Udeploy, Jenkins, Concourse, Ansible) and embrace Automate Everything mindset.
Hands-on experience in Delphix /Oracle ZFS database virtualization is a plus.
Working experience in masking of 'PII' data is a plus.
Proficiency in Scripting languages Python and Unix Shell Scripting.
Hands-on Experience with Public Cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure.
Build solutions that consider our multi-tenant hybrid Cloud and on-Prem environments.
Thought leadership and Research capabilities.
Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices.
Expertise in conveying technical concepts to internal customers, technical team members, and/or other technical contributors across the organization.
Your Role Database Virtualization of Relational and Distributed databases on premise / cloud.
Delphix Engine Deployment, Upgrade, Maintenance.
Automation of Services through API, Pipeline.
Testing of new features, POC.
Masking of PII data using products like IBM Optim, Delphix Masking.
Automation of Masking Services.
