BAE Systems FAST Labs RF, Electronics, Cyber Converged Solutions (CS) Technical Area is growing rapidly.
Ranging from generation of new RF/cyber algorithms through demonstration of advanced electronic warfare capabilities in integrated systems at government ranges, CS has established itself as an industry leader in the development of cutting-edge technologies.
With this growth, CS is seeking technology development managers to help drive the strategy to an expanded future state.
Through innovative R&D and customer program collaboration, your work will help enable the rapid development and fielding of effects across the RF/cyber spectrum for next generation mission support.
A technology development manager is responsible for helping to evolve the portfolio of programs in the technical area.
These responsibilities include:
Assist technical area directors in the development of the portfolio strategy, with a R&D strategy to achieve double-digit compound annual growth Assist in new business development activities through understanding the technical goals and challenges of potential customers and shaping new programs to address these Aligning external customer goals with internal business expectations for successful delivery of business salient Act as Capture Team Lead on proposals for either new business or extending the contracts of current efforts Functional management of direct reports and support of their career aspirations Act as Principal Investigator or Program Manager for program(s) within the CS portfolio, setting technical/programmatic direction and guiding teams in executing complex research projects that regularly involving multiple technical fieldsThese positions report directly to the CS Technical Group Lead and can be based out of our Arlington, VA; Merrimack, NH; or Burlington/Lexington, MA facilities, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and eligibility to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI and SAP security clearance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, or other related field Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance and ability to obtain SCI & SAP Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks, and exceptional oral and written skills Some experience in leading teams to solve complex technical problems Some experience in new business capture, such as proposal writing; preferred if experience leading proposal efforts Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting technical research to large audiences Understanding of electronic warfare, communications, SIGINT, cyber, and electronics markets as well as USG R&D customers in these areas.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Ability to build and maintain relationships within both our internal business areas and the customer community.
Demonstrated success in leading the capture of DoD R&D opportunities.
Experience executing and supervising the execution of R&D internal and external activities.
Practical understanding of product development and the DoD product development lifecycle.
Ability to define, develop, and maintain critical skills in support of the business.
Highly experienced in facilitation of cross-organization communications.
Some experience with resource planning, staff development, and management reporting.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities.
Experience in reviewing and approving Basis of Estimates and proposals including assessment of associated risks and opportunities.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$136620 - $232210 Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
