Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description:
We are looking for an individual to support Fidelity Fund Investment Operations (FFIO) Business Unit s application production environments.
This position requires you to be a problem solver, with a good background of fund operations and be technically adept across a broad range of technologies.
As a hand-on Systems Support Analyst in the Enterprise Infrastructure Application Delivery Organization, you will play a key role in ensuring stability of our application environments, and service delivery for our customers.
The Role Responsible for stability, day to day support of non-production environments Incident Management, remediation, troubleshooting and root-cause identification Timely communication to all partners for high impact incidents and close co-ordination with other support teams Identifying business cases for automated solutions, and contribute to design and development of those solutions to reduce manual intervention and human errors Responsible for upgrades and other maintenance activities to support IT foundation work Mentor junior team members and guide them when needed The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent work experience Production support experience in the financial industry Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, VMware Operating Systems, Storage, Networking technologies and supporting applications hosted in a cloud environment.
Strong experience in Application batch processing and automation Good understanding of CI/CD process Strong communication and ability to work as a team to resolve issues Good understanding of Cloud concepts Your hands-on experience with Operating Systems Linux, Windows, SQL, PL/SQL, Control-M Your experience in analyzing and debugging root cause of incidents/issues Your proficiency in Shell scripting, Java, Python, or other programming languages for developing customized automation solutions Your ability to resolve incidents, impact assessment and communicate effectively Your working experience in working with product teams in an agile environment Your ability to learn new applications and support business flow execution The TeamFFIO Integrated Test Environment support team provides environment support and end-to-end testing across a wide range of applications used by the Fidelity Fund Investments Operations Investment (FFIO) group.
Our team provides end to end testing and technical systems support for applications, which includes environment management, problem solving, technical troubleshooting and Batch Cycle Management.
We partner with our key team members in IT and the Business to validate the impact of changes across critical business services.
