Summary: The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the creation and maintenance of software used in the automation of Solidscape's exciting 3D printing products. Critical attributes of the final software products include reliability, ease of use, performance, and ease of service. The Software Engineer translates requirements into specifications, design, and final product, optimizing new technology and existing code base within the constraints of budget and schedule. Will work within a team environment and this individual must positively influence collaboration and process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Writes efficient code in C or C+
which effectively meets the functional goals of the project.
Embedded software development.
Adept at sustaining existing code.
Contributes to technical excellence in software design by preceding each implementation with a design of appropriate detail (reviewed by others) and by reviewing peer designs.
Achieves an efficient and maintainable product by developing and testing well-documented code that meets requirements, integrates with other subsystems, and maintains a low defect level while adhering to the documented design, the company standards, and schedule.
Drives product improvement and innovation by recommending new feature ideas, architectural restructuring, and 3rd party integration.
Innovate, recommend and drive process, diagnostic and tool improvement.
Responsible for execution per Product Development Process (proposal, schedule, milestones, peer reviews, program reviews, system integration, testing, and product rollout support) when leading or assigned to a product development team. Assignments may include a leadership role of sub-teams containing other software developers.
Will take initiative by accepting responsibility above and beyond assigned tasks and by promoting new ideas.
Will communicate status/information in a timely manner and effective manner.
Will maintain up-to-date technical expertise by participating in outside courses as necessary.

Essential Education, Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or other engineering or science.
Win CE or other embedded operating system.
Linux
.NET
Test Driven Designs.
Experience with complex systems, motion control systems, mechanical systems is helpful as well as rule based systems.
Preferred experience includes web development, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS and/or Java Script. Some database design is also helpful.
Experience with at least 1 source control system and 1 bug tracking system.
Skills in verbal and written communications.
Proven problem solving.
Ability to work well with others.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Works in a pleasant office environment with other department staff. Extensive use of keyboard required. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor.
Occasional travel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
