Description:
Reporting to the Head of Data Architecture for our company's Technology Group, you will be responsible for developing data architecture blueprints, data modeling and data quality analysis for given product areas. CTG provides tools and services that allow our business unit partners to focus on their key business strategies. This includes Corporate Finance and Accounting, Employee and Fund Compliance, HR Services, Enterprise Communications, Corporate Security, Records and Information Management. CTG Data Architecture is at the center of proving trading, compliance, and fraud detection, human capital management, financial and asset management
As a member of the Data Architecture team you will be accountable for designing data architecture solutions for product line initiative and offering expertise on Data Management capabilities. Additionally, you will be contributing to the development and governance of Data Architecture Framework, best practices and processes to advance the analytics and Information Management maturity at CTG.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating, updating data architecture solutions in support of Master Data Management, Data Warehouse/Data mart and reporting projects and initiatives across CTG
Develop logical data models for product lines working in collaboration with Product Managers, Business stakeholders, Product Line architects and development teams.
Responsible for developing standards, tools, best practices, and development methodologies to enhance Data Governance, metadata management and other data management capabilities
Accountable for developing, maintaining, and application and product data models, strategy, and roadmaps
Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for building cross product data assets to optimize for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market
Provide proactive technical oversight and advise to application architecture and development teams fostering re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency of data/analytical solutions
Maintain effective relationships with product managers, application architects and technical leads for individual products
Contribute to the execution of CTG data architecture strategy, analytics framework and data development lifecycle to guide and inform cross Product and Product Line initiatives
Education and
Experience:
This role requires 10
years of experience in multiple IT areas that include data modeling, data integration, data analysis, Business Intelligence design and development
Demonstrated data architecture, data modeling and solution design experience in the financial services industry
Bachelors or Masters Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Software, etc) required
Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse Architecture, Analytics design and implementation of large scale data systems
Thorough understanding of leading data modeling principles, patterns and tools (e.g. Power Designer, ER/Win)
Experience designing and optimizing data integration architectures using Informatica for other data integration patterns
Experience in architecture/design of solutions using Oracle or Netezza, Informatica Power Center and at least one reporting platform (OBIEE/Cognos/Business Objects)
Experience working with Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality and Metadata Management Platforms and processes
Experience with data security, data masking and protection solutions using IBM Optim or Informatica ILM tools
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
Demonstrated experience designing normalized and dimensional data models for financial services or corporate business areas
Strong inter-personal and communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations
Experience working with multiple clients and projects at a time and ability to quickly understand and incorporate new technologies
Prior experience working with geographically (globally) distributed teams and matrixed relationships
Demonstrated capability developing, maintaining, promoting data architecture practices and processes
An understanding of technologies costs (e.g. level of effort, infrastructure costs, etc) and the ability to model their implications based on recommended architectures
Skills and Knowledge considered a plus, but not required:
Experience using leading industry standard technologies. Examples include: Oracle Exadata, Oracle DRM, IBM iLog, IBM Data Discovery, DAG Meta Center, Control-M, Endeca, Tableau, Tibco, and Spotfire
Software Development experience (C++, C, Java, .Net, SQL, Web Services)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
